Transparency
Public bodies deliberate in public. Agendas should be complete, data should be accurate, and records should be accessible, so families can see the reasoning behind every decision that affects their children.
Accountability
Every dollar and every decision should be answerable to the students and families it serves. That means fiscal stewardship, follow-through on public commitments, and trustees who own the outcomes of their votes.

Why we formed
The Tamalpais Union High School District serves some of the strongest public high schools in California. That excellence was built by decades of engaged families, dedicated educators, and thoughtful stewardship.
In recent years, community members have raised concerns about how key decisions are made, including changes to programs that families rely on and shifts in how the board communicates with the public it serves.
Tam Union Governance Alliance was formed by residents, parents, and alumni who believe our district deserves a governance culture that matches the excellence of its schools.
